About us
Industrial Re-Engineering
Academic work executed by Borderless Renewables on strategies for accelerating sustainability transitions creates a pathway for ‘an expedited’ transformation of industrial systems. It departs from an industrial model built on the prototype of natural resource exploitation and a legal framework designed to protect rents generated from it toward a decentralized model that expands through complex system concepts and business models that eliminate natural resource exploitation.

The clean energy transition introduces new economic dynamics, led by brokers who reallocate value from traditional carbon-intensive industries to emerging low-carbon networks. This change is evident in the automotive industry, where economic value is shifting from physical assets, such as vehicles, to software-driven services, such as autonomous driving technology and ride-hailing platforms, an electricity-powered hubs of connectivity.
Identifying these transition brokers within various sustainability transition sectors and designing appropriate public and private support mechanisms for them is vital for expediting the sustainability transitions.
To execute this mission, Borderless Renewables is establishing a dedicated policy research unit focused on this task.
We invite potential partners to collaborate with us in this initiative. Our Partners and Members will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of these efforts.
Funds raised through this campaign will be used to support the work of the Research Associate dedicated to this project.
